How To Install and Setup WP Super Cache in WordPress

These days search engines consider site speed should be important factor in search rankings. Caching websites helps to improve site speed. It is also balance huge spike in traffic.

In this article I will show you how to install and setup Wp Super Cache.

Install and Setup WP Super Cache

First of all you have to install and activate the WP Super Cache.

Go to Setting -> WP Super Cache. In the Easy tab you have to turn Caching on and click on Update Status button. Shown below:

After enabling Cache click on test cache button to if it is working fine. This process will fetch your website twise and will compare the time stamp of the both pages. If you get both time stamp is same then this means your caching working fine for your website.

Advanced Setup For WP Super Cache

You can also setup advance option. Using this option your site’s performance will improve. To setup WP Super Cache with Advance option, Go to Setting -> WP Super Cache then click on Advance tab. Shown below:

In this option you will lots of option enable these options as per your requirements such as:

  • Enabling caching : Cache hits to this website for quick access
  • Cache Delivery Method : Simple or Expert
  • Miscellaneous
  • Advanced Mobile Browsers
  • Cache location
  • Expiry Time & Garbage Collection
  • Accepted Filenames & Rejected URIs
  • Directly Cached Files etc..
