How to Install RPMForge YUM Repository on CentOS and RHEL

RPMForge provides lots of packages for CentOS and RHEL systems. RPMForge is a collaborating a Dog and other packages. But now RPMForge repository has been dis-continued. Please use another yum repository to install packages on your CentOS and RHEL system.

Follow the below link to install  another repository.

Before dis-continued can install the RPMForge repository on your CentOS and RHEL system using below command.

On 32bit systems

# wget
# rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.3-1.el6.rf.i686.rpm

On 64bit systems

# wget
# rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.3-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm

After dis-continued RPMForge repository if you run the above command you may get below error.

# wget
--2017-11-24 00:35:03--
Connecting to||:80... failed: Connection timed out.

--2017-11-24 00:36:07--  (try: 2)

If you still want to install RPMForge repository on your system you can use alternate way. Follow the below command to install the RPMForge repository on your system.
